Morning walk on the Beach of Barra do Cunhau

Beach in Barra do Cunhau - perfect place for a walk with your dog

On 6th of September early morning wacked us with beautiful sunshine and gentle breeze, there was no time for tea or coffee, we had to go down o the beach as soon as possible. To make it even better we took with us our dog Buddy who loves chasing sticks, leaves and crabs. Weather was perfect, it was also low tide and the beach was much wider that normally, creating little sand islands in the middle of the ocean so fishermen could use them for catching sardine.

It is always hard o tell who has better fun during these walks- us or the dog . . .  Buddy can not help herself chasing everything that moves on the sand - including us, and we love chasing Buddy, so does not matter I guess, looks like it is win win for everybody.

It was about 8 a.m. and with good breeze even kitesurfers found it as a good chance for practice. We were walking, running, throwing sticks, having 100% great fun. Barra do Cunhau beach was almost empty, we let Buddy to run free, run a lot - for almost 2 hours. Well that is the way we live here - enjoying each day - even if it is winter and freezing 27 degrees outside.
